NOTICE

Important Update: RIMC Entrance Examination – December 2026 Onwards

In accordance with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and to streamline the admission process, the following changes shall come into effect from the RIMC Entrance Examination scheduled in December 2026 for admission to the July 2027 Term.

What is changing
(a) Revised

Revised Age Eligibility Criteria

The age eligibility for admission stands revised as under:

Previous Age Criteria 11½ to 13 years
Revised Age Criteria 12½ to 14 years
(b) Online only

Online Registration Process

With effect from the December 2026 examination cycle, the application process shall be completely online.

  • Register online through the National Testing Agency (NTA) Portal.
  • Complete the online application and upload the prescribed documents within the stipulated timelines.
  • No hard copy of the application form is required to be submitted.
Please note

Application forms will not be available through RIMC or any State Government authorities. However, welcome package including (PYQP) previous year QPs can be purchased from RIMC by applicants which shall be despatched by post.

Important Update

Keep These Documents Ready

Applicants are advised to keep clear, scanned copies of the following documents ready for online registration:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Latest passport-size coloured photograph with a white background
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • Category Certificate (SC/ST, if applicable)
  • School Studying Certificate
  • Serving Certificate for Central Government employees, if the candidate wishes to appear for the examination from the place where the employee is currently posted. (Applicable only to Central Government employees)
  • Scanned copy of signature
  • Scanned copy of left-hand thumb impression

Previous 7 Years Question Papers

Candidates desirous of purchasing the Previous 7 Years Question Papers Booklet may pay ₹300 using the QR code.

Examination centres

The written examination shall be conducted at designated NTA Examination Centres across the country.
